Making a service usable for the benefit of the community represents one of the most precious values for art, as it does for the company Ecoedile Srl, which, for this project, dealt with the redevelopment of the Nervi Marina, a place of exceptional identity value for the city of Genoa. The demolition of the Mario Massa swimming pool, which had been in disuse for years; the enlargement of the stretch of water; and the improvement of facilities for sporting activities were in fact the first design criteria for the realisation of a common good. Conceived to propose a different use of the space, the Marina is distributed over three continuous "terraces" connecting the hauling area with the dam and giving rise to a sort of amphitheatre, a further symbol of attention to the public sphere. This is completed by a final space recalling the beach once present in the area. Mayor Marco Bucci, proud of the final result, comments: "It is not a new marina, it is a different marina. It is a great redevelopment that will make the marina one of the main ones on the stretch from Genoa to Portofino. What is most interesting is that Nervi will resume its role as the pearl of Italy as it was once defined."
