NILUFAR DEPOT
On Viale Lancetti in Milan, in what was once a silverware factory, Nina Yashar's Nilufar Depot was born in 2015, the second Milanese space after the historic location on Via della Spiga. 1500 square metres arranged on three levels and renovated by Italian architect Massimiliano Locatelli, who was inspired by Milan's La Scala theatre for the occasion. In fact, all the rooms, created by Ecoedile Srl, look like large stages overlooking a central square where the floors are made of cement and the stairs of iron. All in an atmosphere that allows a dialogue between contemporary pieces and historical design icons. "I dreamt of a big space, but I didn't think it would be this big. It was conceived as a warehouse, with an almost industrial infrastructure, like the railings that can be dismantled to let the forklift pass." Nina Yashar
