CLOROFILLA NURSERY SCHOOL

CLOROFILLA NURSERY SCHOOL

In the space that was originally used as a hospital, then as a theatre and cinema in a historic late nineteenth-century building in the centre of Milan, now lives the Clorofilla nursery school that welcomes children from six months to six years of age. The ground floor features a large covered square overlooked by the classrooms, a project by CLS Architetti, based on an idea by Cinzia d'Alessandro and Giovanna Gulli, with consultancy by Reggio Children and renovation entrusted to the company Ecoedile Srl. A garden enclosed by large windows with a large tree stretches out towards the terrace on the upper floor around which it is precious to imagine the children making journeys into interstellar spaces to the rhythm of Gianni Rodari's words. Lots of space and lots of light to teach the little ones the "right to beauty". The seven classrooms of 45 square metres each are designed with materials and details according to age. A kitchen with a view and a swimming pool for toddlers and mothers complete the spaces that, it has to be said, are made on a child's scale.
