VILLA CORNIGLIA
Villa Corniglia saw its construction in 2010, on top of the Corniglia promontory within the Cinque Terre National Park, an area of exceptional natural and cultural beauty recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. The villa seems to be suspended over the sea, 80 metres away, and blends perfectly with the medieval dwellings in the historic centre.
In 2016, the company Ecoedile Srl completed a delicate restoration work as part of a larger "villa diffusa" project. Contemporary architecture blends with traditional elements of local material culture, creating a perfect harmony between heritage and innovation. The naval-inspired interiors are well designed and meet every need in just a few square meters, transforming it into an attractive mini-suite. Diaphragm and permeable walls amplify the spaces, while wood paneling, sliding shutters, local stone and plaster alternate, creating a perfect dialogue with the surroundings. Villa Corniglia represents a perfect example of integration between contemporary architecture and the natural and cultural landscape.
